                   RE: Iamthemostimportantpersonintheworld Syndrome

Dear Public at large;

It appears that "IS" is on the rise, particularly in Orange County, California. It may be approaching epidemic portions. There is no vaccine and it appears to hit young and old alike. When the young have it, it's a less virile form and it can often be ascribed to a "stage" or rite of passage (similar to chicken pox). Though the exact etiology is unknown, it appears to affect either the hearing, voice or vision senses. Or all 3. The "common" sense is most always involved. Just the weekend, I came into contact with 5 seperate people on 5 seperate occasions. I will cite a few examples: The first was walking through Tarzhet. Talking on her cell phone and loudly having the BEST conversation in the world! Apparently. I'm not even sure if she was shopping as for 30 minutes she wandered the aisles aimlessly without a single product; and it's Halloween and Isaac Mizrahi central for goodness sakes! On another occasion I was standing in line at WalMart (it's evident that I shop in only the best places) when a man walked right up and in FRONT of me in line. ["Sir?..." oh, forget it!]  Last night as we were waiting for a table for dinner, a seriously afflicted man was saying salutations to a buddy, started to walk past us, turned around & yelled something back to his friend, no more than SIX inches from my face. His illness startled me so, that I jumped. Unfortunately, the "ill" either do not realize they have "IS" or do not want to admit it. Rarely will you see signs of: sorry, a head nod, a smile, or an actual "exuse me".  One lady stopped traffic by putting her SUV in park in the middle of a road, talked to friend in passenger side, got out to hug friend, had her friend take a picture of her (big "IS" sign), ignored cars behind, ignored honking, hugged said friend again, got in car and apparently had difficulty putting SUV back in "drive".  She was an extreme case as she could've easily pulled 3 ft over to the easeway that was right there!! in plain view. Some other theorists allegedly believe that "IS" sufferers are not as ill or narcissistic, as it seems; we are, in fact, invisible to them. Others believe that we are, in fact, very visible to them hence the symptoms displayed. What do I know, I'm just an observant girl waiting for my kharma bus.
